Recipe Name: Tumbler Idly / Kancheepuram Idly

Ingredients:
Idly rice- 2cup, Raw rice- 1cup, Urad dal - 1cup, Fenugreek seeds- 1spoon, Pepper powder- 1spoon , Sukku powder-1spoon, Mustard -1/2spoon, Cashew chopped- 2spoons, Green chilli -2nos, Curry leaves -few , Asafoetida- 1/4 spoon
Procedure:
Soak Idly rice, raw rice(pacharisi) together for 4hrs and soak urad dal for 1hr. Grind urad dal as a fine batter. Grind Idly rice and raw rice as a coarse batter add salt and mix well with urad dal batter.At night add pepper powder and sukku powder on top of the batter.keep it aside for fermentation(8hrs). Next morning for tempering add oil in a small pan put mustard,cashew,green chilli,curry leaves and asafoetida. Then mix well. Pour the batter in a small tumblers and steam it like idly for 10mins. Tumbler Idly /kancheepuram idly is ready. Anybody can eat from child to elder person. Healthy breakfast. It goes well with tomato chutney.
